  1. About thirty years ago there lived in Glentanasig a man whose name was Thomas O'Sullivan. He was married to a woman several years younger than himself.
    Thomas was a terrible miser, his wife had a big appetite, and it broke his heart to see that she ate so much.
    Finally he decided not to eat anything himself to make up for what she ate. The fast was too much for him, and he fell ill.
    She sent for the priest and when he came he administered the last Sacrament
