    the oldest inhabitant remembered the cabin, and the cave.
    There was another hedge school in Carrigaha, and still another in Leary's Island which was joined to the main land at that time until the sea broke through, and separated them. The cave is to be seen to the present day where they used to teach schools, and hear Mass when possible. They used to speak nothing at that but Irish.
