  1. There was once a bull grazing on the hillside with a herd of cattle. One night the bull was heard roaring in a field called Réidh na ngearcach. The owner of the bull sent his servant boy to drive the bull out of the field. When the boy went out there was no bull in the field but still he heard the roaring. He told his master that the bull was not in the field. He went out again but there was no bull there. He went a third time but still he could not see the bull.
