  1. My Townland is Fermoyle. It is situated four miles from Sneem and about a mile from Derryleagh School. There are four families living in the village and the land is divided into four farms.
    Long ago there were many families living in the village namely O'Kellys Murphys, Dorohys and Sullivan Mháigréad. The O'Kelly lived under a rock called "Carraig Thaidhg" which is situated in the land now owned by Mr John D O'Sullivan. When this family died they were buried side by side in their own land and a stone on which there is ogham writing marks their their graves.
