  1. Once there was a man who lived in Carrigeen. His name was James Carrol. He was a great strong man and was a great mower with a scythe. Once it was Once it was said he was the best man in Ireland at mowing.
    Now there was another man who said he was as good and the two had a contest to see which should mow the quickest and the best.
    James Carrol won and he was counted the best man at mowing with a scythe in Ireland.
