    the fair each house is painted and fields are fenced before cattle would go in.
    Early in the morning the buyers come and they consult each other as to the kind the fair will be. The farmers come next with their stock. They meet and have a chat then they say "come and have a drink as it is "Currens Fair Day."
    It is a custom among the children to go to the fair also and tents supply them with good things all day. If they meet with friends on that day they are sure to get some money which is called a "púrín" [?]
    For many years the school has been shut on that day. Several
