    The old (pel) people have many stories connected with these treasures but most of them are false. One of the stories is about a man who was going home from his ceilidhe one night and he had to cross the fort. As he went across the fort he heard noise and looking round sharply he saw a fairy putting half-soles on his shoes. The fairy was working so hard that he did not see him untill he had a hold of him and man said " Begorra I got yuh". The fairy screamed and said "Look at the big dog behind you,"
