  1. Local Heroes
    Sean Reilly who lived in Toome some eighty yeas ago was a very strong man. Forthy stone sacks were only pleasure for him to carry.
    One day when on his way to help a neighbour in Carnagh put out manure for his crop of potatoes with a donkey and "bordthogs" he had to cross a river about a perch wide, and the donkey refused to cross the plank. Seán tried every means of coaxing but to no advantage so he lifted the donkey on his back and carried him to the opposite side.
