    named John Smith went inside this fort and found that there was a heap of old porringers and cans there.
    It is said that it is not lucky to go near a fort to dig it. There are stories told Hugh Smiths fort. Some old people tell that four men were seen coming out of it with a coffin on their shoulders & put it on a side-car & brought it away.
    I have heard a story of a man who dug a fort and levelled it out. The next morning when he awoke the hair was pulled of his head and was lying on the pillow beside
