    They hold a cup-ful of oat-meal to the sufferer's heart as the same time reciting some words. When the cup of oat meal is removed, if the meal has fallen down a worm is supposed to have come out of the persons heart and to have eaten it. I have seen several people come to have this cure performed.
    A teacher in this locality was supposed to be able to cure worms. He was a seventh son and people attest that he took a worm in his hand and it died immediately. His services were in much demand. All he had to do was place his hand on the sufferers stomach.
