  1. Long ago there lived in this district many poets who made songs but never published any of them. Among them was a man named Eugene Brady, Middletown, Loughduff, Co. Cavan. He made songs about dances and sprees. This man died a few years ago and is buried in Loughduff graveyard. Sometimes he wrote songs about the times.
    There was a man named Patrick Keogh, Loughdavan, Loughduff. He made a song called "The Legwee Meeting". Every one thought he was a very foolish man but he was not as foolish as all that
