  1. In Kiltimagh there were three blacksmith's shops where hammering went on all day long and spades and shovels were made for the farmers. One of the smith's shops stood where the hall door of the Convent now is located, and was the Rendez-vous of all the idle gossipers of the town. Another Smith's shop stood where Fitzpatrick's delph shop now stands and the third was opposite to where the new Provincial Bank is being built.
