  1. Long ago people had only three meals a day, these were breakfast, dinner and supper. People got up at seven o'clock and went out to work without anything to eat or drink until ten or eleven o'clock then they had their breakfast which consisted of oatmeal porridge and buttermilk. At three o'clock they had their dinner of potatoes and buttermilk. At nine o'clock they had their supper of either potatoes and buttermilk or porridge and buttermilk
