“When Mr Nason lived in Sandy Hill about forty years ago, there was a gate seven feet high and on the top of it there were spikes one foot high.”
When Mr. Nason lived in Sandy Hill about forty years ago there was a gate seven feet high and on the top of it there were spikes one foot high. Every evening at eight o'clock a big dog was seen trotting in the avenue and when he came to the gate he leaped up on the spikes and would stay there for hours. Then the priest said Mass and the dog was never seen again. - Informant
