    Tuiteann Lá Fhéil Bríghide ar an chead lá de mí na Feabhra. Bíonn oidhche fhéil Brighide ann an oidhche roimhe sin. Ghnidheann na daoine crosannaí an oidhche sin le onóir a thabhairt do Naomh Brighide. Gheibheann siad feaga san tráthnóna agus fágann siad amuigh ag an doras druidthe iad. Nuair a thigeas am codlata teigheann duine amach go dtí an doras cúl agus deireann sé ‘‘Gabhaigidh ar mhur nglúnaibh, fosgailigidh mhur súile agus leigigidh isteach Brighid Bheannuigh’’. Deireann na daoine atá istigh ‘‘Sé beatha, Sé beatha’’. Tigeann an duine atá amuigh isteach
