    Local Cures
    In olden times people got remedies for their ailments eg. toothache; some people smoked a pipe and some put a chew in the tooth.
    Boils; people take two ozs of yeast to cure boils.
    Whooping cough; put the perons through under a donkey's belly and then you give the donkey oaten bread and the one who has the whooping-cough eats the crumbs.
    Mumps; A person whose father and mother are of the same name before their marriage leads you to a south running
