  1. About five hundred years ago there lived in Drumfries a priest. This priest had a great hound, every day that he would go out to hunt a hare would rise from behind a (ditSh) ditch that seperated the Carohill bog from Ballinlough bog. This (be) morning before he went out to hunt he blessed a bit of tape and tied it round the hounds neck. When the hare rose the hound followed it and stuck it in thorns when the priest went to get the hare he found an old woman sitting with her leg bleeding
