  1. Once upon a time a beggar woman came into a house in Meenamallagh. A little girl lay sick with a sore foot. This is how she got it. She tramped on an nail.
Well this beggar woman told the mother and (fifth) father of this girl to tie a leaf of Saint Patrick around it.
Whither or not they didn't know, where the leaf of Saint Patrick grew. But she told them that it grew on their own street.
So they pulled a leaf of St. Patrick and tied it on the sore. and it mended. This bush is still growing.
