  1. Long, long ago, a woman lived in Meenamallagh.
    Meenamallagh lies west on the way to Carndonagh.
    One day this old woman was going to the shop. On her way she saw a little woman dressed in red. This little woman was sitting carding wool. And she called the old woman over to her. But she didn't go over, and walked on about her business.
    On her return the little woman was gone, and was never seen again.
