  1. There is a fort behind our house in the Village of Lissananny. There is a mound around it. It is built high up. There are bushes growing round in a ring. There was a man living in Lissaleen where Michael Kennedy now lives. Michael Fada the people used to call him. There was a lis in Lissaleen and it was near him, and his son sowed potatoes in ridges in it. The next morning when he went to look at them he could see the track of children's feet in the ridges and a potato never grew in it from that day to this.
