  1. Fairy Forts
    In this district there is a field called Carrig-na-saoire. In the middle of this field there is a little mill and on the top of this hill there is a "lone white thorn bush". Fairy lights used to be seen in this "fort" at twelve o'clock every night.
    Long ago there was a few bushes on this hill. Once a man decided to cut down the trees. As he was cutting down the trees a little red woman came up to him and said,
    "Leave them alone or you'll regret it," said the wee red woman and just then she disappeared.
    The man took no heed of the wee woman's warning but
