  1. In olden times there were no boots and the children went bare-footed Winter and Summer. Their feet used to be swollen and and when they would a pair of boots or shoes they wouldn't be able to put them on because they were not able to walk in them or they were not used to them. The people long ago had a special pair of boots to go to the town or to mass. When the people used to be going to the town they put their shoes under their arms. When they would come near the town they would put
