  1. A long time ago there lived on Benbo a very powerful giant. It seems that long ago a famous giant lived on Benbo and at the same time another giant had his home in Scotland. This was a wild creature of terrifying size and horrid looks.
    He had heard of the Irish hero exploits and his heart was filled with rage and envy. He vowed that he would measure his strength against his rival and kill him if he could for this jealous jiant had always boasted of his surpassing power in battle. Accordingly he swam over to Ireland and dared the Irishman to fight him.
    The champion of Ireland was quite ready to meet the enemy, and soon the contest began
