So Tom went with Bob to his house, and stayed for thirty days, and when he was leaving he thanked Bob very much, and said that they might meet some other day. Tom went on without meeting any one until he arrived at home and his parents met him at the gate with stretched-out arms. He told them all he went through, and what happened between Seán and Bob at Aughavas. When Tom's father heard this he took his baithín on the spot, and went out the door like a deer. When his wife saw this she said asked him where he was going, and he said he would not
