  1. The food that was mostly used in olden times was oat bread, porridge and potatoes. The men worked for an hour before breakfast. For breakfast they had porridge and buttermilk. For dinner they had potatoes and salt and buttermilk. When they were finished work they took potatoes or porridge. They were big strong people.
