  1. Ballymacaquim Castle
This castle belonged to the Fitzmaurice family. It is supposed to have been built by them also. It is a terrible high building constructed of stone and mortar. It is situated on the road leading from Causeway to Abbeydorney and it is only a small distance from Killahan school. It is thought that it was a hunch backed man of the Fitz-maurice clan who built it. It is in a dilapidated condition at present. There is a large stone staircase leading from the inside to the top story.
