  2. An Meadar a bhíodh acu-- bhíodh si 'na seasamh ar an úrlár, clúdach cláir uirthe agus loinithe aníos tré pholl sa chlúdach san. Do oibrighdís an loinithe síos suas ag bualadh an uachtair leis nó go dtagadh an t-ím ar an gcuiginn. Is fusa go mór an meadar eile a chasann mullach le fánaig d'oibriú, ach níl ar furmhór na ndaoine anso cuigeann a dhéanamh in aon chor anois mar tá an t-uachtarlann acu.
Tá na seana mheadair 'na lán tigthe fós ach ní usáidtear iad.
