They always try to have the potatoes sowed before St. Patrick's day. The farmer always begins ploughing on Friday, and the woman of the house churns on Friday also.
The first three days of April are known as "the Days of the Old Cow". They are always windy and cold like the windy days of March.
The first days of April and the last days of October are known as "the harvest of the geese". The wild-geese are to(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
