- In the townland of the Derries, parish of Mullahoran, county of Cavan, there is an old bush called "Winney's Bush". It is called Winney's Bush because an old woman named Winney Masterson lived there some years ago. It is alone bush and ghosts and fairies are often seen at it.
There is a pass along the side of a small river in Mullahoran called "Drain Buidhe" and the pass is called the "Tram Way". It is called that name because I am told that long ago there was an iron mine in Columbcille, Co.(continues on next page)- Collector
