  1. There is an old ruin in the School district. It is the Castle ruin and it is a quarter of a mile from my Village. It is "Gobán Saor" that built it and the Blakes that lived in it in olden times. It is about 210 years old. It is situated in the village of Carrinlough in the townland of Irishtown and in the parish of Ballindine.
    The Cashel was not besieged at any time and there was no one killed fouly in it. There is a ruin of a church in Kilvine and it is said St. Patrick's sister it buried neared it
