  1. There were three meals a day in olden times. The names of them were breakfast, dinner, and supper. They used to take them in the morning and at noon and at night. They used to work two hours before their breakfast.
    The morning meal consisted of strong porrige the dinner meal consisted of potatoes, bacon, and cabbage and the supper consisted of potatoes and buttermilk. If the family was very big the table would be put out in the middle of the floor.
    The people used to use a lot of fish.
