  1. Long ago meals were eaten three times a day. These were called the breakfast, dinner, and supper. The breakfast was eaten at eight o'clock and it consisted of potatoes and milk. Dinner was eaten at twelve o'clock and potatoes and cabbage and meat were used. Supper was eaten no later than ten o'clock and stirabout and milk was used.
    The tables they had long ago were made of metal and the tablecloth they used was made of rods platted together and placed on the table. The different kind of bread they used was boxty, potatoe-cake soda cakes and "rán-coirce". The potato cakes were made of flour, boiled potatoes and milk "Rán-coirce" is made of meal
