  1. In the school district there is a ruin. It is the Castle ruin and it is a quarter of a mile from my Village.
    It was built by "Gobán Saor" and the Blakes lived there in olden times.
    It is about 210 years old. It is situated in the village of Carrinlough in the townlands of Irishtown and in the parish of Ballindine. The Castle was not besieged at any time and there was no one killed fouly in it.
    There is a ruin of a church in Kilvine and it is said St Patrick's sister
