  1. One night an old man was going by the road which leads from Larganboy to Aghamore. Inside the fence there was a deep river - the lake now spreads over the place. He was on his way from Ballyhaunis and no one knows whether he was drunk or sober, but he was found drowned in the river next day. Anybody who passes by this lonely place after midnight is given a fright
