  1. The old travellers who visited the district long ago were Seán O Noone, John Gibbons, Hugh McGovern, John Gahagan, Tom White, Micky Miles, Peggy Coyne, Old Susan, and Maggie Shaughnessy.
    These travellers were very poor, they had no home nor any money. Micky Miles had a small hut on a bog. Any where they got lodgings they would stay as long as they were kept. They slept sometimes in an outhouse, or on a bundle of straw in the corner, or on their
