  1. Spinning and Weaving
    There was both a linen wheel and a woolen wheel in every house in this district long ago. There are very few linen wheels now, but woolen wheels are still quite plentiful. We have a linen wheel at hom though we never use it now.
    On every farm a few sheep were kept. In the summer the sheep were washed in the neighbouring river. All the neighbours collected for the sheep washing. One many too
