  1. Larganboy in the parish of Bekan and barony of Costell is my home district. There are forty-nine families and one hundred and ninety people in the district. Houses were much more numerous here formerly than they are now. Several families died out altogether in famine times; others emigrated to America or to England. In later years many families migrated from Larganboy to Island and some to Holywell and Balla when farms were striped in those places. Later still families have sold their land and gone to America or
