  1. Fairy forts are very numerous in this school district. There are two or three fairy forts in every townland in the district. They are within view of each other. It is said if you stand on one of the forts you can see six or seven forts from it. They are all circular in shape. There is a fence of earth all around every fort and there are white thorn ? blackthorn bushes growing on the ? every fort. There is an entrance hole in the centre in most of the forts. In others the entrance hole is in the ? of the fort. It is said that some boys went down through the hole that is in the fort beside the school. The entrance is very narrow and they had to creep in. They said the inside was very roomy.
It is said a chief? in the centre in a wooden house.
