    Young Ema was a servant girl
    Her love a sailor bold
    Who ploughed the main some gold to gain
    For his love as we are told
    Her father kept a public house that
    stood down by the sea.
    Said Ema you can enter in and
    here this night can be.
    I'll meet you in the morning do not
    let my parents know
    That your it is young Edwin
    Who ploughed the Low Lands Low

    Young Edwin he then went to bed
    And scarcely was asleep
    When Ema's cruel parents into his room
    did creep.
    They stabbed him dragged him out of
    bed and the beach did throw
