The farm animals are - three horses, three cows and seven young cattle, three pigs, fifty hens and twenty ducks, and a donkey. The cows have no names.
The cowhouse is called a byre. It holds two rows of cattle, one row with there heads east-ward, and the other with their heads westward. The cows are not tied by the horns or legs but they are tied by the neck.
The tyings are made of a rope or sometimes they are made of chains. The cows are tied to stakes The chain tyings are bought but the rope tyings are made.
