  1. The local landlord of the district was John Walter Henry Lambert. He resided at Aggard. His forefathers on the estate can be traced back for about two hundred and fifty years. He was a very bad landlord. There were two tenants evicted in the estate. The names of the families were Kennadys and "Caisys" Both families were reinstated back again after a few years. If the tenants were called upon to work for the landlord and if they failed to come they were threatened with immediate eviction. Tithes were collected in the district in former times. There were collected by the landlord for the
