  1. All the festivals are more or less observed in my district. On St Bridget's day crosses are made with straw and sticks and they are placed in the middle of the roof. It is an old belief that the person's house those crosses are in they shall not be hanged or poisoned. On St Patrick's day all the old men of the district get drunk. On Shrove Tuesday night pancake are made. On chalk Sunday the second Sunday of lent all the old bachelors are chalked when they did not get married during Shrove. On Good Friday all the people pray
