  1. Garraidhe Máire Playmon
    In the parish of Ballymana in the townland of Emlough there is a field called garraidhe Máire Playmon. There did a family of that name live there several years ago, and Máire was the last survivor so the field got its name from her. It seems Máire was never tired praising the goodness of the field. No matter how late in Spring she would sow the potatoes they would be over ground long before the others in the village, that would be sowed weeks before them.
