  1. Potatoes are grown in my farm. There are two acres of ground sown under potatoes each year. The amount does not vary each year. The man of the house prepares the ground. Potatoes are generally down in drills and on rare occasions they are sown in ridges. The ground is not manured in any way before being turned up. A plough is used when making the drills. In former times wooden ploughs were used. It is about fifty years since they were used. There are not any wooden ploughs in the vicinity at present. Spades are not
