  1. Emlough is the name of my home district. It is situated in the parish of Ballymana in the barony of Dunkellin. Seven families reside there but yet the exact number of people is twenty three, as the majority of them are old bachelors. There are five thatched houses and two slated ones in it. The first slated house was built in the year 1899 and the second one was built in the year 1935. The townland got its name because there was always plenty butter from the cows fed there. There are three old people living in the village. Their names are Michael Spellman. Mrs Spellman
