    1 Red clouds in the west indicates fine weather.
    2 A red sunrise, and a yellow sunset is a sign of fine weather.
    3 A bright and stary sky indicates frosty weather.
    4 When the swallows fly high, fine weather may be coming, or expected to continue.
    5 There is an old proverb, when is often repeated in this district, which is often correct. It is A rainbow in the morning is the shepherd's warning.
