    sheltered places where it is hidden from the wind. It is preventative for a disease called "Blackleg" in cattle.
    "Glórán" grows in sheltered places in cabbage gardens. It is often mixed up with cabbage porridge for pigs.
    "The Bothalán" grows on every kind of land chiefly in light land the other name for it is "Ragwort".
    "Chickenweed" and Groundsel" grow in gardens. Chickweed and Groundsel are given to cage birds.
    "Dandelion" grows in gardens. Its roots are very deep. It grows on good soil. It is also given to cage birds. When dandelion is crushed it is given to a certain class of delicate people as a tonic.
    "Buttercups" are found on land good for milch cows.
    "Cowslips" are found on good land.
