At the same time while the coulter is in the fire he should get ten thorns of a gooseberry bush and leave each thorn against the stye. The person should do this every day for three days.
    2) If a person had mumps in his throat he should get the roots of bullrushes and boil them. Then he should put them into a cloth and leave them on his throat for night.
