    But in spite of all his boastings, the Ulster giant was no match for the other, who gave him a sound beating, and put him to flight.
    The Scots man ran eastward towards the sea as fast as his little legs would carry him. The Irish champion followed in hot pursuit, but found he could not overtake his foe. He was afraid that the Scotch giant would read the sea, and would swim to his own country and there escape full f punishment, which the victor -which- had meant to give him.
    Seeing how matters stood, the Irish giant decided to give the Scots man a part-
