  1. The place in which I live is at the foot of Cnoc an Áir.
    It is in the barony of Irraghticonnor, and in the County of Kerry.
    This is how Cnoc an Áir or the Hill of the Slaughter got its name.
    A King lived in Greece.
    He had a daughter.
    He would like her to marry a man named Talc Mic Treoin.
    That man did not please her so she left the country.
    She came to the hill of the Slaughter and Talc followed her.
    She met Fionn there he fought for her.
    A great fight was fought there between Talc and the Fianna.
    From that on the hill was called the Hill of the Slaughter.
